Washington State Democratic Party | Democrats Support Manka

This video featured DNC Chair Tom Perez, Governor Jay Inslee, Attorney General Bob Ferguson, Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, every Democratic member of Washington's congressional delegation, and King County Executive Dow Constantine — all expressing their support for then-candidate Manka Dhingra. Dhingra ended up winning a special election to represent Washington’s 45th legislative district in the state Senate in 2017, flipping the Senate from red to blue.

DNC Chair Tom Perez visited Washington state to support Manka Dhingra, and I asked him to film a GOTV video in Spanish to ensure the state party was reaching as many voters as possible in the diverse 45th legislative district. I collaborated with Chair Perez on the script, then filmed and edited this video.

This video explains how Michiganders could complete and submit their ballots. Because this was the first major U.S. election during the COVID-19 pandemic, the campaign wanted to explain people’s options for voting as clearly as possible. Peters won in the second-closest Senate race of 2020, with only Jon Ossoff's runoff victory in Georgia being won by a smaller margin.
